Terms & Conditions

To lock in the dates, I require payment up front (you will be sent a link). In the case of larger projects, such as full production + mixing, I require a 50% deposit to lock in the dates, and then the remaining 50% balance before mixing starts (generally after recording finishes).

All files remain the property of Jake Stokes until full payment has been received.

Additional work will incur additional charges at 1000 CZK per hour.

*payment is non-refundable, unless I cancel in which case the full amount will be refunded.

The final masters are completely owned by the customer upon full payment. All files remain the property of Jake Stokes until full payment has been received.

Producer Points: For signed artists, I generally take 4 points. For independent artists, we can discuss a backend percentage instead (15 – 25% AFTER your production costs have been recouped), usually managed by your digital aggregator (ie Distrokid, DRM, CD Baby). This will always be agreed by discussion and confirmed in writing.

Please communicate to me your desired turnaround time for the project in advance so I can schedule accordingly.

I will give you a realistic turnaround time once I've reviewed your project (or your multitracks, in the case of mixing) to make sure that everything is in compliance with my mix requirements guide.

After I have reviewed the files, if there are any additional services outside the scope of mixing, needed I will recommend them and we can discuss.

Once the dates/timeframe have been agreed upon and the deposit received, any rescheduling is subject to my availability. I cannot confirm that I will be available on dates outside the initial agreement.

Any rescheduling within 28 days of the commencement of the project will incur a fee of 20% of the total cost of work being rescheduled.

Any rescheduling within 7 days of the commencement of the project will incur a fee of 50% of the total cost of work being rescheduled.

After the first mix has been delivered, please deliver your mix notes within 48 hours otherwise the mix is final.

IMPORTANT: Mix notes are to be agreed upon by the whole band/artist before sending, consolidated into one file and delivered in one email or via Audome link.

Mix tweaks sent by text or through social media will not be included.

3 sets of mix revisions are included. Any mix tweaks or revisions beyond this will be charged at an hourly rate of 900 CZK per hour.

I will deliver the files in 48/24 wav format, unless otherwise requested.

Tracks will not be stored after the completion of the project. If you would like all the project files from your project, please provide a hard drive so I can deliver the files to you.

If I am mastering, let me know if you or your label needs the following:

• DDP
• Master CD
• MFIT (Mastered for iTunes)

Let me know if any alternate mix versions are needed

• Acapella
• Instrumental
• TV Mix
• Vocals up/down

The studio is filled with very expensive gear, so please be careful not to fiddle with things you probably shouldn't fiddle with. No food or drinks on surfaces that include expensive or electrical equipment.
